Game Design 1 Final
A downloadable game
This project is a 3D dungeon crawler that challenges players to survive through combat, traps, and careful resource management.
Navigate through a series of interconnected rooms filled with enemies and environmental hazards. Combat is built around timing and positioning, with enemies that attack using deliberate animations and hit windows. Players must balance offense and defense while avoiding damage and choosing the right moment to strike.
Throughout the dungeon, players will encounter traps such as falling platforms and projectile hazards that require awareness and quick reactions. Progression is structured so that enemies must be defeated before advancing, creating a steady increase in difficulty as the player approaches the final area.
To survive, players can collect and use potions that restore health, adding a layer of strategy and resource management. With limited healing available, every decision matters, whether to push forward or recover before the next encounter.
The game features a responsive combat system, real-time health tracking, and clear visual and audio feedback to support player decision-making. From carefully timed attacks to navigating dangerous environments, the experience is designed to feel fair, challenging, and engaging.

Great ambient sound design and sound effects. I felt under pressure the entire time. I checked every corner before entering rooms because I was so on edge. I died 8 times on the platforming section. It was a bit dark in some areas of the map, so it was hard to see what was going on. I think it would be cool of the skeleton enemies had a shield up to make them harder to hit while in a blocking stance. Overall, I had a great time!
